Job summary

Amazon seeks an SDE II for Denied Party Screening Onboarding Tech to design, build, and operate distributed systems enabling client onboarding into DPS screening services. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle from requirements to deployment and operation while collaborating with compliance and partner engineering teams.

You will contribute to a major unification initiative, reduce onboarding time, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered or distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable services that support client onboarding and DPS screening workflows.
• Drive system unification by consolidating legacy onboarding tools into a unified platform.
• Own and operate production services with focus on availability, latency, and on-call readiness.
• Collaborate with onboarding managers, compliance teams, and service owners to define requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on the team.
• Contribute to the team's technical roadmap to improve reliability and reduce onboarding friction.
• Write clean, well-tested code following Amazon's engineering standards and security practices.
