Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the MSK team to design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems that support the Kafka-based MSK Control Plane. You will contribute near the infrastructure layer and help provision compute across diverse environments, impacting how millions of customers run containerized workloads.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of large systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications, tools, or services.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of innovative software solutions to deliver new features in performance, cost and reliability.
• Use software engineering best practices to ensure quality of all team deliverables.
• Build and implement high quality distributed system software.
• Work in an agile development environment prioritizing the most important and impactful projects.
