Amazon in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer I to own the full lifecycle of your code—from design through deployment and ongoing operations—within an environment that values ownership, quality, and customer impact.

You will design and build scalable cloud-native services, participate in code reviews, and contribute to operational excellence while collaborating with cross‑functional Amazonians and growing through mentorship and learning opportunities in a fast-paced, week‑to‑week

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript).
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OO design.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
• Create resilient distributed systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost‑effective.
• Contribute to GenAI and AI-powered tooling to improve development productivity.
• Follow CI/CD practices and participate in on-call duties.
