Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer II (SDE-2) to design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems that power the MSK control plane.

You will own end-to-end delivery of features and drive technical design decisions to raise the bar for engineering excellence. MSK is a fast-growing analytics service enabling real-time data infrastructure for customers ranging from crypto to banks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years in design or architecture of large systems
• 1+ years building multi-tier distributed software and services
• 1+ years of OO design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Math
• Experience programming with at least one language

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of software solutions delivering new features with performance and cost considerations
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure quality of deliverables
• Build and implement high-quality distributed system software
• Work in an agile environment prioritizing impactful projects
