Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Scrum Master to guide multiple Agile teams in Irving, TX. You will coach teams in Scrum, protect them from impediments, and promote transparency across the program. The role emphasizes servant leadership and collaboration with Product Owners to refine backlogs and deliver business value.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years as a Scrum Master, CS M/PSM or PMI-ACP, and strong experience with TFS, Jira, and Azure DevOps. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

Strong servant leadership mindset and ability to coach Agile teams.
Proficiency with backlog tracking, velocity metrics, and SAFe ceremonies.

Responsibilities

Guide and coach Scrum teams in applying Agile values, principles, and the Scrum framework.
Protect development teams from outside influences and remove impediments.
Build a trusting and safe environment for raising problems and solving them collaboratively.
Facilitate work without coercion, assigning, or dictating tasks.
Improve internal and external communication, transparency, and information sharing.
Support and educate the Product Owner on refining and ordering the product backlog.
Ensure the product backlog is visible and prioritized according to business value.
Facilitate Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
Empower teams to become self-organized and accountable.
Support Release Train Engineers, IT Leads, and business leaders by facilitating SAFe ceremonies.
Provide coaching and training to Agile teams on executing the Scrum framework.

Requirements

Scrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM) or PMI-ACP required
2–4 years of experience as a Scrum Master required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience with AI-assisted software development or automation preferred
Knowledge of prompting techniques to improve output quality preferred
Awareness of emerging GenAI capabilities and limitations preferred
Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, from multiple teams/products
Servant leadership mindset
Proficiency with Agile delivery tools such as TFS, Jira, or Azure DevOps
Ability to teach and train on Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
Understanding of product and sprint backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and velocity
Negotiation, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
High emotional intelligence
Ability to understand GM Financial's business and apply critical thinking
Ability to facilitate, coach, and guide through influence and collaboration
Ability to coach and train Agile teams before, during, and after PI Planning
Ability to establish DoR and DoD at Story and Feature level
Ability to facilitate SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, SOS, PO sync, and inspect and adapt
