Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Agile Coach/Scrum Master to guide engineering teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on agile practices across the US and LATAM. You will facilitate Sprint ceremonies, mentor teams, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement using Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean, leveraging Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro, and Mural to visualize work and metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) required.
5+ years leading Scrum/Agile teams across LATAM and US environments.
Experience guiding cross-functional teams through Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid frameworks.
Collaborates with Delivery Managers, Product Managers, and Tech Leads to align roadmaps.
Experience with Agile maturity assessments and data-driven improvements.
Strong track record in remote, distributed software environments.
Expertise with Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean methodologies.
Advanced Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps/Miro/Mural proficiency.
Ability to analyze Agile delivery metrics and facilitate root-cause analysis.
Excellent English communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, self-organization, and value-driven delivery.
Identify, track, and resolve impediments to delivery.
Foster psychological safety, open communication, and constructive feedback.
Define and monitor Agile metrics such as velocity, throughput, and cycle time.
Assess Agile maturity and design tailored workshops.
Act as an internal Agile consultant and mentor for facilitators.
Partner with Product leadership to maintain backlog transparency and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Tech Leads, and Product Managers to align execution with value.
Address organizational impediments and support scaling high-performing teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
5+ years of professional experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Facilitator, or Agile Coach leading software development teams across LATAM and US environments
Proven track record guiding cross-functional teams through Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile frameworks from team formation to high performance
Experience collaborating with Delivery Managers, Product Managers, and Tech Leads to align product roadmaps with sprint execution commitments
Experience conducting Agile maturity assessments, facilitating root-cause analysis, and driving data-driven continuous improvement using Agile metrics
Strong experience working in remote, distributed, and multicultural software engineering ecosystems
Strong experience with Agile frameworks and coaching, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean methodologies
Deep proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro, or Mural
Expertise tracking and interpreting Agile delivery metrics, including velocity, burndown charts, cumulative flow diagrams, and lead/cycle time
Advanced facilitation techniques, creative retrospective formats, and root-cause analysis frameworks such as 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams
Advanced English proficiency, written and verbal
Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management capabilities
Official Agile certifications are nice to have, including CSM, A-CSM, PSM II, SAFe Agilist, or ICP-ACC
Experience in nearshore IT consulting, software services, or fast-paced product development environments for US clients is nice to have
Familiarity with software engineering workflows, modern tech stacks, and CI/CD concepts is nice to have
