Job summary

PTR Global in Irving, TX, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead agile delivery across multiple teams. You will coach teams, remove impediments, and ensure continuous value delivery.

You will partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to maintain a healthy backlog, foster collaboration, and promote best practices in Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe. Experience in airline/travel industries and DevOps is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years serving as a Scrum Master, Scrum Lead, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role.
  • 7+ years working within Agile software development environments.
  • Experience supporting medium-to-large scale enterprise technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coach teams to optimize value flow from ideas to release.
  • Coach Product Owners/Managers on empirical planning and backlog health.
  • Promote transparency on impediments and progress while removing delivery impediments.
  • Enable teams to practice Scrum and other agile frameworks.
  • Foster continuous learning, experimentation, and improvement to reach high performance.
  • Serve as internal trainers contributing to learning and development of teams.
  • Maintain, share, and promote information radiators for inspection and adaptation.
  • Coach teams to self-organize and facilitate events as necessary.

  • Optimize the flow of value from generation of ideas to release

  • Coach your team(s) to create high-value items, while eliminating or reducing rework, waste in the process, etc.

  • Promote transparency on barriers to change, progress, and remove or seek assistance in addressing impediments and opportunities

  • Enable your team(s) to practice Professional Scrum and other frameworks/techniques that drive agility

  • Cultivate a habit of continuous learning (from prior increments, retrospectives, etc.), continuous experimentation, and continuous improvement to reach a high-performing state

  • Coach your team(s) to understand (the why) and practice new ways of working

  • Serve as internal trainers contributing to the learning and development of one or more team(s)

  • Coach Product Owners/Managers with techniques for establishing empirical product planning and maintaining a healthy Product Backlog

  • Maintain, share, and promote information radiators that enable inspection and adaptation

  • Coach teams to self-organize and facilitate events, as necessary


Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 5+ years serving as a Scrum Master, Scrum Lead, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role.

  • 7+ years working within Agile software development environments.

  • Experience supporting medium-to-large scale enterprise technology initiatives.

  • SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)

  • Experience supporting mobile application development teams

  • Experience in the airline, travel, hospitality, or transportation industry

  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices

  • Experience with distributed and globally dispersed teams

  • Familiarity with digital customer-facing applications

  • Exposure to Lean Portfolio Management practices
