Responsibilities

• Efficiently and effectively assists physician with operative procedures.
• Ensures sterility of all supplies and instruments during set up of surgical procedures.
• Gowns and gloves surgeons and assistants.
• Assists circulating nurse in gathering necessary surgical supplies and equipment.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts pre-operatively and intra-operatively.
