Job summary

Coast Surgery Center, operated by United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI), is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technologist. The role anticipates the needs of the surgical team and maintains a sterile field during procedures in the operating room.

You will support the circulating nurse and team, handle counts of surgical items, gown and glove surgeons, and ensure privacy and safety compliance in a fast-paced ambulatory setting at the coast surgery center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with completion of a Scrub Technician Program.
• Two years experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or equivalent.
• Familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and OR procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and assist in set up of surgical procedures.
• Assist circulating nurse and team in maintaining sterile environment.
• Count sponges, needles and instruments pre- and intra-operatively.
• Gown and glove surgeons and assistants.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality per policy.
