Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State of Colorado Surgical Registry required.
• BLS required.
• Surgical Technologist State License.
• Surgical Technologist National Certification.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently assists physician with operative procedures.
• Maintains sterile field during setup and procedures.
• Counts sponges, needles and instruments pre- and intra-operatively.
• Gowns and gloves surgeons and assistants.
• Assists circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining sterile environment.
• Transports instruments and assists in instrument reprocessing.

Education
