Job summary

United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) is seeking a Scrub Technician to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and establish the sterile field during procedures in our operating rooms. This role reports to the Clinical Director and supports the surgical team throughout the procedure.

Candidates must be high school graduates, hold the State of Colorado Surgical Registry, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State of Colorado Surgical Registry required.
• BLS required.
• State of Colorado Surgical Registry

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and effectively assists physician with operative procedures.
• Ensures sterility of all supplies and instruments during set up of surgical procedures.
• Handles instruments in a manner which prolongs life of instrument.
• Assists circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining sterile environment.
• Assists circulating nurse in gathering necessary surgical supplies and equipment. Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts pre-operatively and intra-operatively.
