Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory at The Summit in Birmingham, AL is seeking Prep Cooks to join a fast-paced, full-service kitchen. You will help prepare hundreds of recipes, work with a supportive team, and take pride in consistent food preparation.

There are steady hours with both part-time opportunities and flexible scheduling. The compensation ranges from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities, and employee perks such as meals and discounts.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation, handling and safety standards.
• Able to multitask with efficiency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow a prep list and complete tasks efficiently with speed and urgency.
• Read and follow recipes with accurate measurements and portions.
• Prepare ingredients using knife skills and various cooking methods.
• Prep ingredients for 200+ menu items including sauces, dressings and soups.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers and grills.
• Label, date and rotate foods using FIFO procedures.
• Maintain organization, safety standards, cleanliness and sanitation.
