Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated is seeking a Prep Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen, dedicated to scratch cooking and high-quality ingredients. You will work with a supportive team, take ownership of food preparation, and uphold consistency across dishes for memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities include following recipes and prep lists, precise knife work, and operating multiple kitchen stations and equipment.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Proficient with kitchen tools, equipment, and culinary techniques.
• Knowledge of food preparation, handling and safety standards.
• Ability to multitask with efficiency and attention to detail.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Follow a prep list and complete tasks efficiently with speed and urgency.
• Read and follow recipes with accurate measurements for consistent execution.
• Prepare ingredients using knife skills: chopping, dicing, slicing.
• Use cooking methods including boiling, broiling, roasting, sautéing, frying, grilling.
• Prepare ingredients for 200+ menu items including sauces and soups.
• Operate ovens, fryers, broilers, flat tops, grills, mixers and slicers.
• Label, date and rotate food using FIFO procedures.
• Maintain organization, safety, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Adhere to food safety and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
• Support teamwork through clear communication and work well under pressure.
