Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a dedicated teacher to ensure students master academic and social skills, while embodying IDEA’s values. You will set ambitious goals, track data, and adjust daily lesson plans to challenge students to excel in high school and prepare for college through dual enrollment, AP, or IB programs.

You will contribute to a supportive learning environment, collaborate with campus teams, and participate in after-hours duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adjust to various situations in the school environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Learn and deliver grade level content and core objectives.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with formal and informal assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate student progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Facilitate use of technology to improve achievement and manage tasks.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and collaborate with families.
