IDEA Public Schools seeks IDEA College Prep Teachers who ensure students master the academic and social skills needed for college success while embodying IDEA’s values daily.

You will set ambitious goals, diligently track student data, and deliver rigorous daily lessons, including opportunities for college credit via dual-enrollment, AP, or IB courses where available. This role emphasizes data-informed instruction and a collaborative school culture.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification or strong content-area credentials.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom (preferred).
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Deliver content and grade level curriculum and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive classroom community.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, and after-school duties.
• Spend 40+ hours per week at school.
