Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience: Experience in a K-12 classroom setting preferred.
• Licenses or Certifications: State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Deliver content and grade level curriculum and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track progress with formal and informal assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment.
• Support school-wide culture and collaborate with families and staff.
• Spend 40+ hours at school per week; participate in after-school duties as needed.
