Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a dedicated IDEA College Prep Teacher to ensure every student masters core academics and social skills necessary for college success. You will set ambitious goals, track data, and refine daily lesson plans to provide rigorous, college-prep experiences.

Role includes preparing students for college through dual-enrollment, AP, or IB pathways, with emphasis on consistent progress, collaboration with families, and active participation in school culture.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum and objectives.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Utilize technology as a communication and educational tool to enhance achievement.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
