Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to support the Advanced Tactical Missions BU from Linthicum, MD or Fairfax, VA.

The role covers system engineering, integration, verification and validation across all life-cycle stages. The candidate will translate customer requirements into comprehensive system solutions, maintain procedures, and interface with customers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of experience
• Master’s degree reduces required experience by 3 years
• PhD reduces required experience by 5 years (as applicable)
• Experience with ground systems engineering and systems integration
• Experience with requirements engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering
• Experience working with customers and subcontractors
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and willingness for polygraph

Responsibilities

• Perform system engineering, integration, verification and validation for total systems
• Translate customer or product requirements into total systems solutions
• Maintain and update operations procedures including lessons learned
• Interface with program and customer personnel as required
