Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering efforts for a major program.

The role requires/assesses clearances, performs requirements analysis, design integration, and verification, and collaborates with IPTs to deliver high‑impact solutions. Applicants should have a STEM degree with extensive related experience and strong skills in SysML, MBSE, and model-based engineering tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of related experience for Principal; 3 years for Master’s/PhD pathway; leadership potential expected.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ year in STEM is preferred.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required at application with potential to obtain Top Secret.

Responsibilities

• Complete understanding and wide application of the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, integration, test, and verification.
• Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
• Lead IPT configurations and collaborate with program teams to develop design analysis artifacts.
• Contribute to system requirements development, management, and performance analysis.
• Develop model techniques and performance analysis of the system.
