Job summary

NRT Bus, Inc. in Methuen, MA is looking for a part-time School Van Driver to transport students to and from school and events. You will drive assigned routes, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keep vehicles clean, and communicate professionally with families and school staff.

You do not need prior experience; paid training is provided. Work weekdays only with weekly pay and guaranteed hours. A number of benefits are available for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must have School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate or willingness to obtain (training provided).
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Clean driving record; pass background check and drug screening.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Drive assigned routes.

• Pay: $24.41/hour Paid Training: $20/hour
• Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM)
• Weekdays only - no nights, weekends, or holidays
• Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours

What You'll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Requirements

• School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate (or willingness to obtain - we train!)
• Safe driving record
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check , drug screening, & 7D physical
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written)
