Beacon Mobility in Mansfield, MA is seeking a School Van Driver (Part Time) to safely transport students to and from school and events. This part-time role offers a $24.41/hour wage, paid training at $20/hour, guaranteed minimum hours, and opportunities for extra hours on charters and activity trips.

Ideal candidates hold a 7D certificate, a safe driving record, are 21+ with 3+ years driving, and can pass background checks and a 7D physical.

Qualifications

• Requires School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate or willingness to obtain (training provided).
• Safe driving record and background checks required.
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and 7D physical.
• Effective communication in English (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle and use safety equipment as needed.
• Drive assigned routes and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and communicate professionally with families and school staff.
• Follow state/local traffic laws and school district policies.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $24.41/hour
• Paid Training: $20/hour
• Schedule: Parttime, split shift (AM/PM) Weekdays only – no nights, weekends, or holidays
• Guaranteed minimum hours

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies
