Job summary

Butler’s Bus Service in Hartford, VT is hiring a part-time School Van Driver to transport students to and from school and events. You’ll drive assigned routes, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and help keep vehicles clean and safe.

We offer paid training with no experience required, flexible split shifts, and opportunities for extra hours on charters. Benefits include dental, vision, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• School Pupil Transport Certificate (or willingness to obtain — we train!)
• Safe driving record
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check , drug screening, & 7D physical
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written)

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Pay: $18-24/hour
Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM) Weekdays only — no nights, weekends, or holidays
Weekly pay: + guaranteed minimum hours
