Job summary

Local Motion, LLC is hiring a part-time School Van Driver in Braintree, MA. You will transport students to and from school and events, assisting with entry/exit and safety equipment, while driving assigned routes and performing routine vehicle inspections.

The role emphasizes safety, professional communication with families and staff, and adherence to school district policies. Trainees receive full training and opportunities for extra hours with benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Requires School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate or willingness to obtain (training provided).
• Must have a safe driving record and be 21+ with 3+ years of driving experience.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and 7D physical.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Assist students entering/exiting vehicle and use safety equipment as needed.
• Drive assigned routes and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and communicate professionally with families and staff.
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies.

Pay: $ 24.41 /hour

Paid Training: $20/hour

Schedule: Part time, split shift (AM/PM)

Weekdays only - no nights, weekends, or holidays

What You'll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc )
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre trip and post trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Requirements
