Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a part-time School Van Driver in Duxbury, MA to transport students to and from school and events. The role includes a split shift (AM/PM), with paid training at $20/hour and regular pay at $24.40/hour. Weekdays only, no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Vehicles and routes are provided with safety practices emphasized. Ideal candidates hold a 7D certificate (or are willing to obtain one), maintain a safe driving record, and are 21+ with 3+ years of driving experience.

Qualifications

• 7D certificate or willingness to obtain (training provided).
• Valid safe driving record is required.
• 21+ years old with 3+ years driving experience.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Effective communication in English (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Assist students entering/exiting vehicle and use safety equipment as needed (belts, car seats, booster seats).
• Drive assigned routes.
• Perform pretrip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Follow state/local traffic laws and school district policies.

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pretrip and post trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Requirements

• School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate (or willingness to obtain — we train!)
• Safe driving record
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, & 7D physical
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written)
