Job summary

NRT Bus, Inc. is seeking a part‑time School Van Driver to transport students safely to and from school and events in North Reading, MA. The role offers a part‑time schedule with a split shift and guaranteed hours, plus weekly pay.

Training is paid at $20/hour, and there are opportunities for additional hours on charters and trips. Requirements include a valid School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate (or willingness to obtain it), a clean driving record, and being 21+ with at least 3 years of

• Must have a safe driving record and pass background check, drug screening, and 7D physical.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken & written).
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Assist students entering/exiting vehicle and use safety equipment as needed.
• Drive assigned routes and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $23.70/hour. Paid Training: $20/hour Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM). Weekdays only — no nights, weekends, or holidays. Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours.

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Requirements
