Job summary

Beacon Mobility is hiring School Van & Paratransit Drivers to transport special needs students to and from school. Earn $18.00–$19.00 per hour with AM and PM shifts, Monday to Friday, 30–40 hours weekly. Drivers ensure safety, assist with mobility needs, and follow routes and schedules in a compliant, caring manner.

Qualified applicants have a valid license with a clean record, must be 21+, and pass required background checks. Certification requirements may apply.

Qualifications

  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record (last 3 years).
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must pass criminal background check and Child Abuse History Clearance.
  • Ability to meet district certification requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a school van or paratransit vehicle.
  • Assist students with mobility needs, including wheelchair support.
  • Follow designated routes & schedules.
  • Secure passengers using required safety equipment.
  • Communicate with school staff, parents & supervisors.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and report maintenance needs.
  • Always follow zero-tolerance safety standards.

Medical Transport Systems We are seeking reliable and compassionate School Van Drivers and Paratransit Drivers to transport special needs and handicapped students to and from school. These positions ensure the safety and comfort of students during their commute, adhering to all safety protocols and providing assistance as needed. Now Hiring: School Van & Paratransit Drivers Help transport students with special needs safely and comfortably to and from school. If you’re patient, reliable, and committed to safety, we want you on our team!

Pay - $18.00-$19.00hr

What You’ll Do
  • Safely operate a school van or paratransit vehicle
  • Assist students with mobility needs, including wheelchair support
  • Follow designated routes & schedules
  • Secure passengers using required safety equipment
  • Communicate with school staff, parents & supervisors
  • Keep the vehicle clean and report maintenance needs
  • Always follow zero-tolerance safety standards
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license + clean driving record (last 3 years)

Schedule

Monday-Friday only - no nights, weekends, or major holidays

  • AM Shift: 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM
  • PM Shift: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Split shift schedule (2 shifts/day)
  • 30-40 hours/week
