Job summary

Beacon Mobility in Massachusetts seeks a Van Pool Transportation Driver to safely transport students to and from school and events on a part-time, split AM/PM schedule. Training is provided and state requirements must be met.

You will drive assigned routes, perform pre-trip inspections, maintain a clean vehicle, and communicate professionally with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Certificate for School Pupil Transport (7D) or willingness to obtain — training provided.
• Safe driving record.
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and 7D physical.
• Effective communication in English (spoken & written).
• Residence in Waltham, Belmont, Lexington, Bedford or Burlington area.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events, assisting with entry/exit and using safety equipment.
• Drive assigned routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies.

Van Pool Transportation LLCA Driver

Responsible for transporting clients from their pickup point to their destination in a timely and safe manner. Using a vehicle to successfully transport people, performing pre‑trip inspections, performing child checks post‑route, and keeping their vehicle within DOT regulations are the most important tasks of the driver.

Payment & Schedule

Pay: $24.41/hour

Paid Training: $20/hour

Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM) Weekdays only — no nights, weekends, or holidays

Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events. May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Requirements

• School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate (or willingness to obtain — we train!)
• Safe driving record

• Must live in the Waltham,Belmont,Lexington,Bedford or Burlington area.
