Job summary

27J Schools is seeking a Transportation Scheduler/Dispatcher to maintain two-way radio and telephone communications, ensuring safe, on-time and efficient district transportation. Direct drivers, log daily events, and assist with data for reports while following district policies and regulations.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 6 months to 3 years in school transportation, Google Suite experience, and a CDL/B endorsement within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience with Google Suite, Google Drive and GMail accounting, customer service and general office experience.
• Operating knowledge of two-way dispatch radio, phone system and general office equipment.
• More than 1 year and up to 3 years of experience in school transportation.
• Must obtain CDL and B License with P2-S endorsement within 3 months of hire.
• Must pass DOT physical examination at hire.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required within 90 days after hire.
• Must pass post-offer, pre-employment physical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain two-way radio and telephone communications to facilitate safe, on-time and efficient transportation for the district.
• Provide direction and control for drivers over radio and maintain logs of daily events.
• Assist the Director with data collection to support reports.
