Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, promptness, and a calm demeanor with adherence to all traffic laws.

The ideal candidate maintains a clean driving record, meets licensing requirements (regular license, CDL with passenger endorsement as needed), and passes background and drug tests. A supportive environment with faith alignment is offered.

Qualifications

A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the Statement of Faith.
Regular driver's license; CDL with endorsement for passenger vehicle if required.
Age 21–80; employees over 75 may need additional documentation.
Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
Background check through LifeWise Academy; yearly physician's statement for known medical conditions.
Complete drug and/or alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
Obey traffic laws.
Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
Perform regular inspections of the bus.
Refuel the vehicle as needed.
Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle and demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor.
Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
