Job summary

Hamilton Southwestern Schools is seeking a Technology Specialist to provide Tier 1 support for district technology, including Windows, Mac, iOS devices, printers, projectors, and interactive boards at Sand Creek Elementary School and Sand Creek Intermediate School.

Collaborate with administrators, media specialists and teachers to troubleshoot and deploy educational software, manage devices, and assist with district-wide technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ certification encouraged.
• Experience troubleshooting technology, hardware and mobile devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of Windows and Apple OS/iOS in a networked environment.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP for LAN/WAN/WLAN connectivity.
• Technical skills and willingness to advance training.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1, district-wide tech support for hardware/software and installation.
• Document equipment and software to facilitate district-wide support.
• Manage tasks and time to support other buildings as directed.
• Participate in district-wide mass installs and upgrades.
• Assist with WAN support and district policies/procedures.
• Participate in district/department projects and professional development.
• Collaborate with other technology specialists across the district.
• Assist with distribution, collection and maintenance of devices.
• Support teachers and administrators in integrating technology into learning.
• Help plan, design, and acquire new hardware/software; stay knowledge-updated.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
