Job summary
The State of Colorado seeks a qualified School Social Worker/Teacher II to join the Division of Youth Services within Colorado’s education system. You will work across school-based programs, coordinate mental health supports, manage behavior intervention plans, and collaborate with teachers, staff, and external partners to support student success.
Responsibilities include multi-tiered systems support, conducting assessments, developing behavioral plans, and participating in MDTs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment
- Current, valid Professional Teacher license issued by the Colorado Department of Education
- Two (2) years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position
Responsibilities
- Provide social/ emotional assessments and plan interventions
- Collaborate with teachers on services and interventions
- Lead behavioral plans and MTSS-related activities
- Develop and train others in restorative justice circles
- Support MTSS and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Assist with transitions for youth and education-related supports
