Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional School Based Social Worker to support behavioral health services, including trauma-informed care, crisis response, and tiered supports for students and staff.

You will collaborate with SST, school leaders, families, and community partners, provide individual and group counseling, coordinate referrals, monitor progress, and ensure culturally responsive practices across the district.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
• MA DESE School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor License (All Levels).
• Licensed Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) or LMHC; or eligible for such license.
• Authorization to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in Student Success Team activities and collaborate with school leadership.
• Provide individual and group counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
• Manage a caseload, coordinate referrals to external agencies, and support with IEP/504 processes.
• Monitor progress and maintain data related to student services and outcomes.
