The Home for Little Wanderers, Inc. is hiring a School Shift Direct Support Counselor in Plymouth, MA. You will help maintain a safe school environment, supervise classrooms, and support students with IEP targets and treatment goals.

Strong teamwork with teachers and staff is essential to apply intervention strategies effectively. You will participate in daily activities, support transitions, and provide both group and individual behavioral support, including emergency coordination and First Aid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of child care experience in a residential setting with a similar population.
• Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe school environment and supervise classrooms and non-classroom spaces.
• Build healthy, appropriate relationships with clients through daily interactions aligned with IEP and treatment plans.
• Assist children with transitions between activities and coordinate with teachers for individual and small group work.
• Model and teach life and social skills through counseling and group activities; may assist as teacher support.
• Provide group and individual behavior support and coordinate with supervision for medical and emergency needs.
• Attend faculty meetings, trainings, and supervision meetings; may work with residential students when needed.
