Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers' COVE School in Plymouth, MA is seeking a 1:1 Classroom Support Counselor to provide individual academic and therapeutic support to students with emotional disabilities. The role offers collaboration with teachers and staff to implement treatment plans and ABA-informed strategies for student engagement and safety.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, at least one year of childcare experience, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One-year childcare experience in an academic or residential setting with similar population of children.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure school environment for students.
• Deliver individual academic and therapeutic support aligned with IEP/ICMP and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with staff to implement intervention strategies and co-regulation practices.
• Assist with transitions between activities and provide First Aid as needed.
• Document time sheets, logs, data collections, and incident reports timely.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
