South Pekin Grade School is seeking a full time school secretary. The ideal candidate will havewith strong communication skills and will be highly organized and able to manage the daily operations of our school's front office. The position will be responsible for balancing a variety of tasks simultaneously , ranging from direct face-to-face interactions with visitors to precise digital database management. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to: answering the telephone and routing phone calls, delivering messages to staff members, managing general school correspondence via email and physical mail, welcoming visitors, parents, volunteers, vendors, and substitute teachers, inputting student information, tracking daily attendance, maintaining highly organized and confidential student files, and attending to minor first aid issues.
Candidates must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ab ility to interact politely and clearly with all school stakeholders, and intermediate to advanced computer skills. Office or school experience is preferred.
Anticipated salary will be $18.00 an hour. IMRF retirement and full benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance is available.
This is a 190 day position. Successful candidate will report to school one week before the teachers and continue working one week after school has been dismissed.
