Washoe County School District is seeking a School Performance Supports Specialist to collaborate with Title I sites identified for CSI/TSI/ATSI and other indicators. The role focuses on coordinating district support and aligning programs with state standards.

The SPS Specialist will work with ESSA vendors, facilitate professional learning, and coordinate on-site training while building capacity among principals and teachers.

Competenze

• Master's degree in education or a related field required.
• Five years of successful teaching experience required; Teacher Leadership Pool eligibility.
• Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a Nevada teaching license in the relevant subject area/grade level.
• Experience coordinating with outside vendors and district departments is a plus.

Mansioni

• Assists individual sites in aligning outside vendors, programs, and support.
• Coordinates/assists in scheduling the on-site training and coaching with vendors.
• Collaborates with the Accountability Department to assist schools in retrieving student data and assist in analyzing the data.
• Attends vendor professional development training and coaching to facilitate work when the vendor coach is not on site.
• Assists in overseeing program implementation and acts as a point person if issues arise with vendors.
• Assists in aligning Nevada Academic Content Standards to planning and assessment of content.
• Provides modeling, co-teaching, and coaching (Plan, Do, Study, Act) to teachers.
• Attends grade-level PLCs to assist alignment of supports.
• Provides follow-up for professional learning through coaching and mentoring.
• Uses planning and assessment tools to evaluate instructional impact on students.
