Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide targeted therapeutic services to students under IEP/ISP guidelines.

You will assess, plan, and deliver OT interventions in education settings nationwide, collaborating with classroom staff and families to ensure goals are integrated into daily activities. The role requires a degree in occupational therapy, state/NBCOT certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy.
• NBCOT Certification and/or state certification as specified in the contract.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills with adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students utilizing exercises and equipment to facilitate fine motor coordination.
• Monitor student progress.
• Test and evaluate students (if requested) to determine their need for occupational therapy.
• Consult with classroom teachers regarding occupational therapy plans for each student to address educational needs.
• Communicate with parents on a regular basis regarding student progress and home activities.
• Create solutions to challenges for individual students based on research and professional judgment.
• Make referrals to community resources as needed.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and organized manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.
