Qualifications

• Requires OT degree and state certification in accordance with contract terms.
• NBCOT certification or valid state OT certification required.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication with adults and students is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students based on IEP/ISP goals.
• Monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Test and evaluate students to determine need for OT services when requested.
• Consult with classroom teachers to ensure OT plans align with educational goals.
• Communicate with parents regularly about progress and home activities.
• Develop solutions for individual student challenges using research and professional judgment.
• Make referrals to community resources as needed.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and organized manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.
