Suffolk Public Schools is hiring a FNS Lead Associate for 10 months to support daily kitchen and cafeteria operations, supervise staff, manage deposits, and maintain inventories. The role emphasizes food preparation, serving meals, and ensuring compliance with nutrition standards.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain). The work is inside, with standard kitchen duties and interaction with students, staff and parents.

Formación

• Knowledge of institutional food service procedures, practices and equipment.
• Knowledge of food quality, values and special dietary requirements.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety measures.
• Knowledge of computer skills (Windows, Excel, Google Products and Word Processing)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required. ServSafe Certification required, or ability to obtain.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares breakfast, lunch and snacks items for students, according to recipes.
• Serves meals and operates the register.
• Oversees the cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Counts money and completes deposits and production records.
• Orders food, produce, and milk online.
• Organizes the kitchen, stock room, freezer and refrigerator.
• Interacts with teachers, students and parents.
• Assists nutrition staff and manages staff as needed.
