Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of the eighth grade and some experience in food preparation.
• Possession of a health certificate for food preparation issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• CPR certification preferred and Heimlich maneuver training required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve school meals in accordance with regulations.
• Rotate through the full range of food service responsibilities.
• Wash pots, pans, kettles and other cooking utensils.
• Operate food service equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary operation and stock supplies.
