Suffolk Public Schools in Suffolk, VA is seeking a part-time FNS Associate to assist in preparing and serving meals and maintaining cafeteria cleanliness. The role supports the Cafeteria Manager and involves standing, lifting, and moving supplies.

Requires basic education and some experience in food preparation; Virginia health certificate required; CPR certification preferred. This is a 5-hour pool position with immediate starting date.

Qualifications

• Completion of the eighth grade and some experience in food preparation.
• Possession of a health certificate for food preparation issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• CPR certification preferred and Heimlich maneuver training required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, cook and serve school meals in accordance with regulations.
• Rotate through the full range of food service responsibilities.
• Wash pots, pans, kettles and other cooking utensils.
• Operate food service equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary operation and stock supplies.
