Job summary

Music & Arts, a division of Guitar Center, seeks an Education Account Manager to build strong school partnerships across rentals, repairs, and products in the Baton Rouge area and beyond.

You will cultivate educators, district leaders, and families, delivering program growth while representing the Music & Arts brand with integrity and passion. Expect travel within your territory and close collaboration with local store teams.

Qualifications

• Sales, customer engagement, or community relations experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel throughout assigned territory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn CRM systems.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Build trust-based relationships with educators, administrators, and district decision-makers.
• Expand footprint using database and prioritized regional school lists.
• Establish weekly outreach rhythms (calls, emails, school visits, virtual meetings).
• Develop strategic territory plans focused on new programs, educator support, and local engagement.
• Meet weekly educator conversations, meetings, and school visits targets.
• Respond to inbound leads within 24 hours.
• Maintain Salesforce pipeline with next steps, notes, and stages.
• Drive renewals, expansions across rentals, repairs, and product categories.
• Collaborate with Regional Logistics Coordinators to stay client-focused.
• Host educator nights, community events, and back-to-school events.
• Promote in-store resources, coupons, and educator programs.
• Support store-based education initiatives and recruitment.
• Drive school traffic to stores to increase engagement.
• Be primary contact for educators, resolving rentals, repairs, and product needs.
• Coordinate with stores, repair shops, customer service, and RLCs for seamless support.
• Maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and ownership in educator interactions.
• Identify and resolve friction points before impacting customer experience.
