Eagle Valley Elementary School in Eagle, Colorado is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare and cook foods according to the school lunch menu and serve students efficiently. The position reports to the Cafeteria Manager and supports the Nutritional Services Director.

The role requires at least six months of experience with large quantities of food, good communication and basic computer skills; the job offers a comprehensive benefits package, 30+ hours weekly, and a per-hour wage of $18.30 to $21.96.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience working with large quantities of food.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow written and verbal calculations as normally acquired through completion of high school diploma/GED.
• Ability to operate a computer.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a high standard of sanitation in all practices at work, including food handling and storage, according to department policy and state and local health department manuals.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and lunch room environment.
• Measure, weigh and combine ingredients for quality preparation of soups, entrees, casseroles, vegetables, desserts, meats and other items in the menu.
• Take the food temperatures to ensure microbiological safety.
• Regulate portions per standards/directives set by the National School Lunch Program.
• Operate the kitchen equipment and POS system in the manager's absence.
