Job summary

Edwards Early Learning Center School is hiring a Cook for full-time hours in Colorado. You will prepare meals per the school lunch menu and serve students efficiently. The role reports to the Cafeteria Manager and supports Nutrition Services.

The position requires basic food-handling experience, strong hygiene standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced school kitchen environment. Perks include health and retirement benefits and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow calculations as typically required by a HS diploma/GED.
• Ability to operate a computer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to the School Lunch menu.
• Maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen practices.
• Measure and prepare ingredients for menu items.
• Take food temperatures to ensure safety.
• Organize daily production to meet service times and minimize waste.
• Operate the point-of-sale system in the absence of the cafeteria manager.
