Job summary

Edwards Early Learning Center is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook meals for students in a timely, efficient manner. You will follow the school Lunch program and assist with daily kitchen operations in a school setting.

Ideal candidates have 6 months of large-quantity cooking experience, solid communication, and basic computer skills. The role offers full-time hours, benefits, and a supportive team environment in Colorado.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience cooking for large quantities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate a computer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of sanitation and food handling.
• Prepare and cook food in appropriate quantities according to the menu.
• Take food temperatures to ensure microbiological safety.
• Regulate portions per established guidelines.
• Organize daily production to serve on time and reduce waste.
• Operate kitchen equipment (ovens, grills, toasters, processors, slicers, dishwashers, steamers).
• Assist with recipe adjustments while maintaining quality.
• Meet flexible work schedule and location demands.
