Job summary

The position requires a high school diploma, at least two years of locksmith experience, and the ability to travel to multiple school sites. A valid driver’s license is required and training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Must perform essential locksmith functions including installing, adjusting, maintaining, repairing, and replacing locks and hardware.
• Requires ability to learn and use specialized lock-related tools and familiarity with brands.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation to multiple work locations.
• Two years of locksmith or related experience required; specialized training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, policies, and procedures.
• Repair, adjust, and replace door locks, padlocks, and panic bars; maintain master key systems.
• Review key schedules and blueprints for new construction projects.
• Open jammed/ vandalized locks and respond to emergencies to secure doors.
• Train staff on repair techniques and key filing system.
• Document work orders with time, materials, and resolution.
