Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a skilled locksmith to support school facilities in Atlanta. You will set key schedules, manage master key systems, and install or replace hardware to improve operations and security.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Georgia driver’s license, and 3 years of locksmith experience (5 preferred). Certification training is a plus, and incumbents must be insurable by district carriers.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Georgia Driver License required.
Must be insurable by Fulton County School insurance carriers.
Locksmith certification training preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience; 5 years preferred.
Knowledge of master key systems and related hardware.

Responsibilities

Set key schedules for facilities per master key system and manufacturer manuals.
Replace or install equipment to improve operations and security.
Use hand/power tools, key-cutting machines, grinders, and diagnostic gear.
Improvise fixes to keep equipment working while maintaining safety.
Coordinate with manufacturers' reps to set key schedules.
Collaborate with facility reps to maintain key boxes.
Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
