SSC Services for Education is hiring a full-time locksmith for a location in Charlotte, NC. The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with openings at other district locations. A minimum of 3 years locksmith experience is required, and pay ranges from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid locksmith license may be required in some states.
• 2 years trade school or related experience.
• 3 years experience as a locksmith or technician in a similar sized institution.
• Ability to lift medium and/or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and diagrams, estimate materials and costs for installations.
• Install, repair and maintain locks and keys.
• Replace tumblers to change combinations.
• Operate lock-picking tools to access doors without keys.
• Install locks and lock systems with various hardware.
• Maintain inventory for locks, keys, spare parts and tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic lock systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
