Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or an equivalent combination.
  • A valid Virginia driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
  • Flexibility for after-hours and weekends; overtime may be required.
  • Ability to work in small areas; differentiation of lock types and systems.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and job-related software.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and carry equipment; safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, repairs, and configures major locks.
  • Sets up master and sub-master lock systems.
  • Installs and repairs panics hardware and various door components.
  • Repairs and refurbishes locks using old materials.
  • Cuts keys to master key designs and specifications.
  • Ensures safe, organized, and compliant work environments.
  • Drives between locations and maintains tools and materials.
