Job summary

Millard Public Schools SOUTH HIGH in Omaha, Nebraska is hiring a Kitchen Production Lead for the 2026-2027 school year. This 10-month, full-time role runs 6:00am to 2:30pm, Mon-Fri, supporting breakfast and lunch service for students and staff.

As lead cook, you will train staff, plan production, ensure food safety and HACCP compliance, manage inventories and orders, and coordinate with the Food Service Manager to deliver high-quality meals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Preferable 4+ years of related kitchen/cafeteria experience in K-12 or institutional cooking.
• Strong HACCP knowledge and ability to document production.

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Manager in daily kitchen operations to ensure quality meals.
• Lead cook and train junior staff.
• Prepare, serve, and cleanup meals for students and staff.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene per HACCP.
• Manage production sheets and inventory.
