Omaha Public Schools’ central kitchen in Omaha, NE is seeking an experienced kitchen production assistant to support daily meal preparation for thousands of students and staff. You will help forecast meal counts, schedule tasks, and assist with food prep, sanitation, and serving.

The role requires strong organization, basic math, and food safety knowledge; flexibility to rotate through kitchen areas and travel to other schools as needed.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of food preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and HACCP procedures.
• Ability to apply basic arithmetic using money, weights, volumes, and distances.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the production coordination of assigned areas and forecast meal production.
• Set work schedules to ensure tasks are completed on time and assist as needed.
• Provide leadership in maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and serving environment.
• Prepare food and assist with service of meals to students and staff.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitation, storage, and equipment maintenance.
• Support cross-training in all kitchen areas as needed.
